The Lisburn Assessment and Resource Centre is a Southern Eastern Trust
facility which acts as a large day care centre. It has the capacity for
120no trainees who have a range of learning disabilities, additional
physical disabilities and/or sensory impairment. It has 2 state of the
art multi sensory suites and 2 indoor sensory gardens, specially
designed to meet the needs of the trainees.

 

Environmental Street Furniture (ESF) were delighted to provide a range
of exterior seating for the sensory garden, working alongside Hamilton
Architects and McAlteer and Teague Building Contractors. ESF supplied
the popular Vera seat from our Signature Collection by MMCite. The Vera
range of exterior seating is of a modern design, durable and robust. The
seating has a simple shape and clean lines with a galvanised steel
frame, powder coated in Anthracite Grey finished with tropical wood
boards. The Vera range also has a number of other design options from
individual chair style seats, benches and seats with or without armrests
to a selection of steel or stainless steel curved benches and seats. The
Vera range of wooden seating is available in steel or stainless steel
round grids. There is a children's seat - Mini Vera, 1m long in a steel
frame with wooden boards and rounded edges and a popular double sided
bench available in a number of options and finishes.

The Brunea benches have a sophisticated modern design that brings a touch of elegance to every environment.

Environmental Street Furniture (ESF) are pleased to have supplied a range of cast iron litterbins for The Diamond area in Coleraine’s busy town centre. We worked alongside Bangor based architectural practice DMP Consulting with Donald Malomo Paris and local contractor Rogers Contracts. 

The cast iron litterbins come complete with a 63 litre capacity with a galvanized steel metal liner and the finish is painted with a primer undercoat RAL 5013 Colbalt Blue with the Coleraine town centre logo. Cast iron street furniture provides a long lasting and attractive solution to town centre applications. The litterbins also come complete with an ashtray facility for stubbing out cigarettes and cigars. 

Environmental Street Furniture (ESF) supplied a range of street furniture for this new build school project in Belfast. This is Phase 1 of the project in association with Patton Construction, we were delighted to provide 20no ESF standard litterbins and 15no steel bollards all powder coated in black for around the school premises.

Environmental Street Furniture (ESF) were pleased to supply a large quantity of bollards with visibility banding to Derry City Airport, County Londonderry.  

The galvanised steel bollards were installed at the airport car park. The bollards are robust, anti vandal and weather resistant  -  perfect for their location in a busy airport. 

Chris joined Burdens straight from school in 1984, working on the trade counter at the Heaviside Drainage depot in Keynsham, Bristol. He progressed rapidly and, on his 21st birthday, was made manager of the Culvers Road depot in Keynsham, subsequently managing the Swindon and Cinderford depots.

Alan Lowry, Director of ESF, recently attended the 39th Annual ASLA convention in Philadelphia, USA, to launch the joint venture with Sigma Corp to promote ESF throughout the USA and Canada.

There are over 13,500 members of ASLA (American Society of Landscape Architects) and many of them were represented at this annual conference and convention.

Alan was joined on the 'Environmental Site Furnishings@Sigma' stand by Andy Podner, Kevin Mahoney and Steve Goodwyn from ESF@Sigma. The Sigma Corporation have an established business in all 50 states and also in Canada and will be promoting 'ESF@Sigma' both directly and via local distributors in every state.

In Europe we are more familiar with the term Street Furniture, however we generally refer to Site Furniture and Furnishings in this press release. In the United States some of the  terminology is slightly different in referring to Site Furniture as opposed to Street Furniture, although both refer to the same grouping of products such as Bollards, Post & Rail, Litter Bins (Trash Cans), Seating, Cycle Parking, Shelters, Tree Grates etc.
